How to use

    Choose a screenshot

    The tool is made for screenshots, though any image works. It takes PNG, JPEG or WebP up to 50 MB and 40 megapixels.
  2. 02

    Pick a background

    Use one of the gradient or solid presets, or set your own colours and angle. PNG and WebP can also leave the background transparent.
  3. 03

    Shape it

    Set the padding and corner radius, turn the shadow on or off, and add a light or dark window frame if you want one. Pick Auto aspect, or a fixed one such as 16:9 for X or 4:5 for Instagram.

    Download

    Check the export size, then download. PNG keeps text crisp, and JPEG or WebP give smaller files.

Why text stays sharp

Scaling a screenshot by a fractional factor blurs its text. This tool builds the background around the screenshot at a 1:1 pixel scale and resamples only when the export would exceed 4096 px. The same function draws the preview at your screen's pixel density, so the export keeps the proportions of the preview.

Limitations

  • The tool cannot take screenshots or fetch a web page. You need an image you already have.
  • The screenshot is placed at its own pixel size and never enlarged, so small screenshots give small images. The tool shows the export size.
  • If padding and aspect push the composition above 4096 px on the longest edge, the tool scales everything down and tells you.
  • The window frame is a neutral bar with three dots that the tool draws itself. It does not copy any operating system's window.
  • You cannot add text, arrows, annotations or device mockups, or combine several images in one composition.

FAQ

Is the screenshot uploaded?

No. Your browser draws the composition with the Canvas API, and the download comes from there. Nothing is stored.

Which aspect should I choose for X or LinkedIn?

Auto keeps the screenshot's own proportions plus padding, and both platforms display that fine. 16:9 gives a consistent landscape card, while 4:5 fills more of a phone screen on Instagram and LinkedIn.

Can I make the background transparent?

Yes, with PNG or WebP. Turn on Transparent background to keep only the screenshot with its rounded corners, shadow and frame. JPEG cannot hold transparency, so the option is hidden for JPEG.

Why is my export scaled down?

The longest edge is capped at 4096 px so the browser can encode the image reliably. A large screenshot with wide padding or a tall aspect can go past that. Reduce the padding or switch to Auto aspect.

Does the tool add a watermark or branding?

No. The output contains only your screenshot and the background and frame you chose.
